IEI takes energy infrastructure projects through a single, integrated path. Each stage is structured to inform the next, so that projects reach financial close and commissioning on a sound commercial and technical footing.
Our focus is independent power producer projects across solar, hydro and storage in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.
Project lifecycle
Seven stages, one continuous process
01
Origination
We identify viable IPP opportunities and assess their fit with regional demand and grid needs.
02
Feasibility
Technical, site and commercial studies test whether a project can be built and operated as planned.
03
Bankability
We structure revenues, contracts and risk allocation so that the project meets lender requirements.
04
Project finance
We arrange debt and equity structures suited to the asset's cash flows and risk profile.
05
Capital mobilisation
We connect structured projects with institutional and development finance capital.
06
Investment oversight
We monitor construction and operating performance against the agreed investment case.
07
Off-take
Commercial off-take structuring secures long-term revenue and supports debt serviceability for the life of the asset.
Proposed vehicle
Renewable Energy Infrastructure Fund (REIF)
REIF is a proposed fund, not an operational vehicle. It is designed to aggregate institutional participation in a pipeline of IPP projects.
The proposed structure would allow institutional investors to access a diversified set of Southern African energy infrastructure assets through a single, professionally governed vehicle.
Participation, terms and timing remain subject to development and final documentation.
Aggregated pipeline
Combines multiple IPP projects into one investable structure.
Institutional governance
Proposed oversight standards aligned with institutional investor expectations.
Risk-adjusted returns
Targeted returns to be assessed against the risk profile of each asset.
